On Friday, September 25th, Chef Emeril Lagasse will host a lunch at the Hyatt Regency Chicago for Bon Appétit presents Chicago Gourmet. Legasse will preview his unreleased book Essential Emeril: Favorite Recipes and Hard-Won Wisdom from My Life in the Kitchen (which is set to release on October 6, 2015). The recipe book will be dedicated to famed Chicago chef, Charlie Trotter. Trotter was a renowned Chicago chef whose namesake received two stars from the Michelin Guide (one of three restaurants in Chicago to have received such an honor) while his Restaurant Charlie in Las Vegas had received one star from the guide.
Lagasse and Trotter were longtime friends, so he and Trotter’s wife, Rochelle, will recount their times with Charlie during a private VIP reception. Lagasse will also introduce each course of the four-course, wine-paired lunch. Additionally, each card member will receive the chef’s best selling book Essential Emeril.
