Centurion Lounge
On the heels of the Seattle lounge opening, American Express just announced that their newest Centurion Lounge will be located in Houston at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).  According to the lease, the $7 million 8,596 sq. ft. lounge is slated to open in Terminal D post security the first half of 2016.  And the reason for a second lounge in Texas is simple.  According to Lisa Durocher, Senior Vice President of Charge Cards and Benefits,  “Houston is another major market for our Card Members and another important step towards expanding our network of lounges from coast to coast.”

The lounge will have most of the amenities that other Centurion Lounges which include: noise-buffering workspaces, private showers, private phone areas, tranquility areas, high speed Wi-Fi, complimentary full bar and food buffet (although the culinary team has not been announced, no doubt it will have top-notch chefs and mixologists like the others).

Chair and Dog

Don’t forget, Centurion,  Platinum, and Business Platinum card members have complimentary access for them and their family/guests.
